Great Coupon Shopping

I made my weekly coupon trip out today and got some great deals. First I went to Kroger and got 5 Grill Mates Marinades, 1 tub of Country Crock butter and a Reece's Cup for $.77 Then I went to Publix and got 2 loaves of bread, 2 packs of lunch meat, 1 pack of sliced cheese, 2 packs of shredded cheese, 2 packs of Oscar Myer hot dogs, 4 packs of Knorr Sides, 10 packs of KoolAid, 1 Del Monte Fruit Chillers Tubes, 8 boxes of Ziploc Bags, 8 4-packs of Yoplait Plus Yogurt, I bag of SunChips, 4 bags of Green Giant Steamers, 1 bottle of Miracle Whip, 2 boxes of Pop Tarts, 2 6 packs of Smirnoff, 2 packs of Mock Tender Steaks, 1 pack of Italian Sausage, 4 boxes of Kellogs Cereal, 3 12 packs of Mountain Dew and 1 jar of steak sauce for $99.90. Then I had to go to another Publix to use more coupons and I got 3 more Yoplait Yo Plus yogurts for $.81 then, 1 more Publix trip for 3 Del monte Fruit Chillers Tubes and Saline Solution for $4.53. I also got an HP Ink Cartridge, some cork panels, and a file box for $14.95 at Staples. I have to say that was mostly successful. I did have to buy some things that I didn't have coupons for, but overall I think I made out great.

Big Shanty Parade

This was Aaron's first parade, and the first time Grayson really cared about the parade. He was so excited. This year the parade was pretty good. I was starting to get worried last year. It wasnt very big at all. We had a great time at the parade and at the festival. It was really crowded this year too. I am glad they added alot more free things for the kids to do. We got face paintings, art work, and a lot of little toys. Aaron enjoyed being able to look around at everyone and see everything that was going on.

Cute Easter Baskets I made out of paper

After a long time of battling with this pattern, I finally figured out how to make these baskets. I just love them. If you are interested in some of these for another occasion since Easter is tomorrow just let me know.

Disney Cruise

I am so excited! I finally I have something big to look forward to. We are planning a Disney Cruise for next year. Hopefully including friends and family. I am planning on using all my savings from coupons and rebates, and just good budgeting for us to be able to afford this. I have to come up with about $4000 by next summer to be able to do this. I know it is doable and I am going to be strong about this goal. Now I have so many choices to decide between on where to go. I have been to the Bahammas, I am thinking a European Cruise! There is also Mexico, East Caribbean and West Caribbean. There are others, but they do not fit good time frames for us at the moment.
